We Totally Respect This
By Brinson | October 12, 2007
This doesn’t really have anything to do with the Panthers, the NFL or Mittens. But it’s pretty damn funny. And also pretty ballsy. First of all, congrats to Wake Forest for beating Florida State last night on a big time national stage. If you can somehow find pictures of Erin Andrews working out at the WFU gym, please send them to us. Also, we’d be remiss if we didn’t give a shoutout to our boy, Riley Skinner, for another big win. Second best arm in the family, baby.
Anyway, the subject at hand: one Mr. Chip Vaughn, starting safety for the Demon Deacs. As you can see from the photo, Vaughn had the stones to take a Florida State team shirt, replete with the ‘Noles logo and team motto, “Unconquered” and do a litle Sharpie work, marking out the “UN” and dressing in the shirt before the game. Now, if this works, you yank the jersey off and prance around the field in celebration looking like a badass who had the stones to quasi-guarantee a win. On the other hand, if this backfires, you’re the asshole who went to the trouble to color in another team’s shirt and then dressed in front of his teammates, for the most part jumpstarting a jinx-train on nation television.
But the Deacs pulled out the win and Vaughn just looks like a stud. Win-win for everyone involved. Unless you’re Bobby Bowden. He’s one of those disciplinarian-types who just doesn’t like football players acting above/against the law in any way.

Wouldn’t he have to Sharpie out the “U” and the “N”?
Nice post though, even though I swallowed my pride and rooted for FSU. Better for MD if they had won.

Right. I forgot to mention that we also sharpied out the “N”. Because we’re hatd like that.
