Testaverde Practices Thursday, Should Start
By Brinson | November 30, 2007
Vinny T was good to go Thursday during practice and should be the starter this weekend as the Panthers host the Niners. Now normally, we don’t make bold predictions at Mister Mittens. But here’s one: Cats win, baby. If Vinny plays, Steve Smith goes large. If Smuff goes large, we win. It’s not really that simple, but our defense should be able to stack the box against Frank Gore and force Trent Dilfer to beat us deep.
And yeah, we’re just going to go on pretending like David Carr never existed, especially when Vinny tweaks his back on the first 12 step drop and Matt Moore comes in. Who is this Mittens fellow you speak of?
Chris Gamble was also listed on the injury report yesterday but participated in full practice. Dwayne Jarrett hasn’t practiced for two days and is not expected to play. No one is expected to care. Mike Rucker returned to full practice yesterday and should be a go to not really put any pressure on the quarterback Sunday.
On the Niners side, Frank Gore has been limited all week, but it’s late in the season, and the guy has a ton of mileage that he’s racked…oh. We see. Yes, he probably will wait until Sunday to actually play good. We hate you Frank Gore. Alex Smith has been limited all week - we think Dilfer plays, although (sniff), the Cats are as good a confidence boosting matchup as you can get. Walt Harris (rejoice!) hasn’t practiced all week. Actually, wait. If we win this game we’re not getting McFadden are we?

Forcing Dilfer to beat you deep just sounds hilarious. That’s like making Juan Pierre beat you with his power.
