Panthers Get NFC East in Preseason
By Brinson | April 4, 2008
The Panthers preseasons skeddie has been released and it’s a whole lot of NFC East and a little bit of Pittsburgh. Yeah, so four games. One against the Steelers (who we always seem to play) and one against every NFC East member except for the Dallas Cowboys. Here’s what it looks like, courtesy of ITP:
Saturday, 8/2 - Fan Fest (Gates at 9:30 a.m., practice starts at 11:00 a.m.)
Week 1 – Home vs. NY Giants
Week 2 - @ Philadelphia Eagles - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, 8/14. This is a nationally televised game on FOX
Week 3 – Home vs. Washington Redskins
Week 4 – @ Pittsburgh Steelers
So, alright. Week 1 after what has — in my opinion — been a pretty sweet, albeit not Dan Snyder-flashy, offseason, and we’re loading up to face the defending Super Bowl champs. Then we have to deal with playing in Philly. Sah-weet. Playing the ‘Skins at home is almost a wash since North Carolina probably hosts nearly as many ‘Skins fans as it does Panthers.
Apropos of nothing, I saw Delhomme on a Channel 14 commercial and while he looked a little bit fatter, he said his arm is definitely starting to feel better and that he hasn’t been dealing with much pain at all. Fat is fine. Pain is not. No Delhomme = worthless offseason anyway.
