Cats Stink in Spartanburg
By Brinson | August 14, 2008

Clearly, Spartanburg, SC (hot as absolute sin in the summer and muggy as hell to boot) has been kind to the Panthers this go round in training camp. We’ve had two different fights already, meaning everyone is getting along just cheerfully. And, as Carolina Growl points out, everyone likes it so much there, they rarely bother showering.
Showers don’t matter. Several players ditched their practice uniforms moments after the morning practice and headed straight to their cars — without even showering — in order to get back to Charlotte. They must really like their families – or hate Spartanburg. Among those leading the parade out of town was defensive lineman Maake Kemoeatu.
Now, of course, training camp is over, so it’s not like they do this everyday. Right? Right??
Because that would be disgusting. Still, it does point to a commonly known fact that training camp = hell. And this 2008 sesh hasn’t exactly been spectacular for the Cats either. But hey, screw hygiene. Just win.
