Colts @ Cats Live Blog Fourth Quarter
By Brinson | October 28, 2007
Soooo, what’s going on? Things are not looking good for anyone right now. Except the Colts.
14:43 - Joey Addai to the two. FYI - Ahman Green out, Frank Gore is in, Laveraneus Coles will play. You know, for fantasy purposes.
13:18 - Pass just off Reggie Wayne’s hands. 3rd and goal.
- Wow. Peyton Manning has only missed one play in his game…Touchdown Addai called back for holding on Jeff Saturday.
13:09 - Niiiightmare. Addai ran that home. 31 Colts, 7 Cats.
12:51 - Let’s just let Mittens lob it deep to Smith. Gasses one across the middle to Jeff King who is quietly having the least mediocre game of anyone in the Panthers passing game.
12:18 - Mittens sneaks three for a first. Just waiting for the other mitten to drop at this point.
11:54 - Pass deflected and then on third and long Mittens hits Colbert. Fourth and two and we gotta go.
11:24 - Mittens picks up the first and we’re finding some rhythm in the no-huddle.
10:57 - Phil Simms has called the mittens a “detriment” and decides that they take away “touch”. He has just told us that all of this is based on one pass.
10:04 - Mittens to King for a first and the ball is loose. Deeeeee-saster. Colts get the ball back.
9:40 - There’s only one reason you want to be playing against Jim Sorgi. 31-7 is not it. Sorgi and Addai are carving us up right now.
7:26 - If someone gets hurt after we try and pick up seven more points I’m going to be irate. Kenton Keith and Jim Sorgi are slicing and dicing our defense up right now. It can’t feel good to be the d-line though…particularly after all the chances we had early on in the game.
6:04 - Timeout Cats.
3:33 - Jim Sorgi’s backup is running the show at the point. Kidding. He is Kenton Keith’s backup though.
1:30 - Mittens to King. Feel like I’ve called that little number all day long.
:16 - Mittens drops back and hits Colbert who bobbles it as the clock runs out. Indianapolis is the best team in the league. I’m loving when the Pats are favored next week.
00 - Well, folks, it’s been real. The first half was fun, too. Tough L for the Cats; Mittens and Vinny both looked fairly “meh” and Peyton turned it on to find Reggie Wayne. This is a Cats team that needs slightly better defensive play, better breaks, a legit quarterback and easier opponents.
